TEENAGER GOES MISSING AFTER PUTTING DOWN PHONE

Elite B.O.R.E.D. investigators called in after five minutes of unexplained silence.

A routine Tuesday afternoon took a disturbing turn when a local mother asked her teenage son to put down his phone for five minutes.

He complied.

Moments later, he was gone.

"I only asked him to take a little break," the shaken mother told reporters. "I never expected him to actually do it."

The teenager's phone was discovered lying on his bed, fully charged and completely unattended. Investigators described the scene as "highly unusual."

Within minutes, B.O.R.E.D. dispatched its elite investigative unit, The Unscrollables, a team of veteran field agents armed with paper maps, spiral notebooks and a camera that required film.

Detectives initially suspected foul play. There were no outgoing messages, no recent searches and, most troubling of all, no indication the teenager had taken a charger.

A breakthrough came when a neighbour reported seeing the missing youth walking toward a nearby park.

"He was just walking," the witness recalled. "No headphones. No phone. Just looking around. I thought something was wrong."

The Unscrollables established a perimeter around the park, where they eventually located the teenager sitting beneath a tree, throwing small stones at a larger stone.

When questioned about his activities, the teenager reportedly shrugged and said, "I dunno. It's kinda fun."

Investigators were unable to determine what application he was using.

The case has officially been classified as VOLUNTARY RECREATION.

B.O.R.E.D. officials confirmed that no charges would be laid.

The mother has since asked her son to clean his room.

He remains missing.

WEATHER DESK

WEATHER APP FAILS! TOWN DESCENDS INTO CHAOS

Residents forced to look out windows for first time in years.

Panic swept through the community Tuesday morning when a popular weather application suddenly stopped working, leaving thousands of residents unable to determine conditions immediately outside their homes.

Emergency operators reported calls describing a bright object in the sky, moving clouds and what one caller described as "water falling from above."

At Town Hall, officials convened an emergency meeting to discuss alternative methods of weather detection.

One councillor suggested opening a window.

The motion was defeated 6–1.

Meanwhile, an 82-year-old resident was discovered standing on his porch, accurately predicting rain by observing approaching clouds.

Authorities asked him to stop spreading unverified information.

The weather service was restored shortly after noon.

Residents immediately checked their phones to confirm that the sun they had been looking at all morning was, in fact, shining.

MUNICIPAL AFFAIRS

COUNCIL APPROVES PARK BENCH FACING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

New recreational facility lacks charging ports, touchscreen and measurable engagement.

A newly installed park bench has sparked controversy after residents discovered it contains no electronic features whatsoever.

The wooden structure, situated beneath an ordinary tree, offers seating for two adults and a partial view of some grass.

There are no charging ports, QR codes, speakers or interactive displays.

"It's literally just somewhere to sit," complained one resident. "What am I supposed to do with that?"

Municipal officials defended the $340 installation, explaining that the bench was intended for resting, watching birds or occasionally doing absolutely nothing.

A local technology consultant has proposed adding a digital dashboard to measure the number of minutes residents spend sitting.

The proposal is estimated to cost $48,000.

At press time, an elderly gentleman had occupied the bench for 47 minutes without generating a single measurable interaction.

City officials described the situation as "concerning."
